The child ticket covers one child aged 6 to 17, who must stay with your group on the guided tour. Under-6s enter free and need no ticket. For visitors aged 18–24 choose the youth ticket, and for ages 25–64 the adult ticket.
On the day
Make the fairytale towers part of the adventure on the walk up, and watch for the armoury on the tour — a favourite with younger visitors. Be at the meeting point 15–20 minutes before your booked English departure, keep your child with the group on the hour-long guided route, and save energy for the huge park and the zoo on the estate afterwards. A carrier is easier than a stroller inside; large bags go in the cloakroom.
